Tulpy Environmental Forum Students Adopt-A-Highway |
|
|
On October 18, students collected over 80 bags
of trash—Listen for a TTV announcement to find out about our next clean-up. |
Our students have been participating in Nolde Environmental Forum events for over five years. Many have continued their education in Science-related fields upon graduation. This year they have teamed up with National Honor Society to volunteer to clean up the roadside along a 2.5-mile stretch of Route 183 from the Bernville Borough line south near Blue Marsh Lake. They all ask your help in keeping our roads and highways clean--please save your trash till you get to an appropriate disposal site. |

Nolde Environmental Forum students participate
in up to four outings per year sponsored by PA Department of Conservation and
Natural Resources at Nolde Forest. Learning events have included such topics as
watersheds, land use, energy conservation, solid waste disposal, recycling,
energy production, mine acid drainage, forestry. This spring they will be
repeating an event that was well-received last year--teaching Reading
Elementary school students about watersheds, water quality and land use. |
